Face-to-face therapy for individuals,
grounded
in
Psychosynthesis

I am a therapist in training, offering affordable, psychosynthesis therapy sessions in the centre of Edinburgh.

Psychosynthesis is a "psychology of will", a transformative style of therapy that works to integrate personal, transpersonal and spiritual aspects of the Self.

Beyond exploring solely the lower unconscious, it uniquely considers one's higher Self, fostering a holistic approach to personal growth and a synthesis of all parts of ourselves.

Through psychosynthesis, we can come to know and care for ourselves at a deeper level, leading to a more fulfilling life.

People often turn to therapy for a multitude of reasons, including current challenges, addictive behaviours, anxiety, emotional instability, relationship struggles, grief stemming from the loss of a loved one or significant life changes such as health or career shifts. Additionally, individuals may seek therapy during what is traditionally referred to as a mid-life crisis, although such crises of meaning can occur at any age and are not confined to a specific point in life.

Our first session is an initial interview where you will be able to share a bit about yourself, your background, and why you have chosen to come to therapy. I will ask a few questions, and you will also have space to ask about my approach.

This first session together is for us to determine whether I am the right fit for your needs. Student therapists are not suitable for everyone, and it may be that you or I will decide not to continue. If this is the case, I will be able to refer you to someone who will be more suited to work with you.

Following the initial interview, if agreed, we will have another 3 sessions before a review. Sessions are weekly, ideally on the same day and time each week.

I am a student therapist in training, and as such I am required to be in continuous supervision. Our sessions are confidential, although the focus of therapy and some of the issues may be discussed with my supervisor. Rest assured that your personal details and any identifying information remain confidential.

Our initial sessions will be voice recorded so that I can then transcribe a portion to take to my supervisor. Please consider if this is something you are comfortable with. Following supervision, recordings will be destroyed.

To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves,

We feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else's eyes.
